Berkshire Bank Announces New VP, Trust Officer

Berkshire Bank has named Remus Preda as vice president, trust officer.
The Massachusetts bank brought in Preda as a trust officer at its Vermont branch in 2007. Prior to that, he served as vice president and national liaison manager at Morgan Stanley Trust. He also holds a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association's Institute of Certified Bankers.
At Berkshire, Preda will be in charge of Vermont operations, specializing in services for high net worth individuals and families, including investment management, retirement, estate planning, taxation, and trust. He will also be working with not-for-profit organizations in the area.
Berkshire Bank is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hills Bancorp, a financial services firm with $2.7 billion in assets and provides services through 45 offices in Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont.
