8 September 2010
Schroders has appointed Rory Bateman as head of European equities, aiming to strengthen its management team for the region. Bateman, who joined Schroders in early 2008, will continue to have responsibility for the core European equity portfolios and the team of research analysts. He will now report directly to Ken Lambden, global head of equities. The news follows the recent appointments of Martin Skanberg as manager of Schroder ISF EURO Equity and Jamie Lowry as manager of Schroder ISF European Equity Alpha. Schroders is headquartered in London and had £164 billion (about $245 billion) under management at 30 June 2010.
