First Michigan Names Financial Services Veteran To Board

First Michigan Bancorp has added to its board of directors in a bid to increase its coverage of the high net worth segment.
Gary Collins, the chairman and chief executive officer of Lake Shore Wisconsin Corporation, joins the company as a board director with immediate effect. Collins has almost 30 years of experience in the banking industry, having held senior commercial lending and management leadership positions with Oak Park Trust and Savings, now JP Morgan Chase, and First Colonial Bankshares, now US Bank.
"Gary's extensive experience with our target high net worth and business owner-operator market segments, coupled with his proven track record, will be invaluable to First Michigan's shareholders and management team as the company pursues its relationship-based growth strategy," commented David Provost, the firm's chairman, president and chief executive.
First Michigan is a bank holding company headquartered in Troy, Michigan. With its recent acquisition of Citizen's First Bank, the firm now has 23 locations in southeast Michigan.
