Ex-BNY Mellon Exec Joins First Republic Bank In Newport Beach

Private bank and wealth manager First Republic Bank has announced that veteran portfolio manager Jim Fletcher has joined First Republic Private Wealth Management in Newport Beach.

Fletcher was previously the first vice president and senior director of portfolio management at BNY Mellon in Newport. Prior to that, he was president and co-founder of Fletcher Capital Advisors, also in Newport Beach. In his new capacity with First Republic, he will be focusing on providing customized equity and fixed-income investment management solutions to the companies clients in the area.

In a release, Katherine August de Wilde, the firm's president and chief operating officer, said that his appointment complements its growth strategy for Southern California, where are a lot of the country's affluent reside.

First Republic Private Wealth provides trust, investment management and brokerage services to high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments, non profit organizations and institutions. It has operations in 10 metropolitan areas in the US.
