Brooks Macdonald Asset Management, part of AIM-listed Brooks Macdonald Group, has appointed Colin Barrett to their Tunbridge Wells office. Barrett joins from Heartwood Wealth Management and will be responsible for managing private client portfolios. He will also join the research team. Brooks Macdonald’s opened its office in Tunbridge Wells, a town in the county of Kent in the southeast of England, in April last year. Barrett is the fourth fund manager at the office. “Colin is a significant hire for Brooks Macdonald,” said Chris Macdonald, the firm’s chief executive. “He will be an important addition to the growing fund management team in Tunbridge Wells, bringing with him both a wealth of experience and strong knowledge of the local marketplace.” All in all, Brooks Macdonald Asset Management now has 34 fund managers with 10 trainee fund managers currently in the graduate system across its offices in It has offices in London, Winchester, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells, and Edinburgh.
