Credit Suisse's CEO Paid $18 Million Last Year

Credit Suisse’s chief executive Brady Dougan saw a great increase in his annual pay in 2009 compared to the previous year; his compensation including bonuses reached SFr19.2 million ($18 million), the firm’s annual report revealed. Dougan, who has been chief executive at Credit Suisse since mid-2007, received SFr1.25 million as a fixed salary in 2009, exactly the same amount as in 2008. In addition to the fixed salary, he received SFr17.87 million in share-based and other awards, and SFr80,000 in dividend equivalents, pensions and other benefits. All in all, he was paid SFr19.2 million, compared to SFr2.86 million in 2008.
