Collins Stewart Wealth Management, part of the London-listed financial services firm Collins Stewart, has hired Christian Redman - formerly of Barclays Wealth - as an associate director. Mr Redman began his career at Gerrard in 1986 and was a divisional director at the time of the firm’s acquisition by Barclays in 2003. He then became the private equity product specialist at Barclays Wealth, before moving back to managing private client portfolios and assuming the role of senior investment manager. In his new role Mr Redman reports to Symon Hawken, head of wealth management for CSWM in London. "We are very excited to welcome Chris as a senior member of our team in London. His 23 years of industry experience and network will be hugely beneficial to us as we seek to develop our private client business further," Mr Hawken said in a statement. In recent weeks CSWM has also been hiring for its recently-launched Corporate Executive and Employee Trading (CEET) brokerage desk, which serves listed companies, their employees and third-party share plan administrators. Richard Christmas was appointed to the CEET brokerage at the end of January, joining from Credit Suisse. Michael Smith, who was latterly head of Credit Suisse’s corporate trading desk, has been placed at the helm of the new desk.
