Focus Solutions, the UK-based financial services technology firm, has appointed Martin McKenna as lead business consultant.

In his new role Mr McKenna will be responsible for shaping the company’s thinking on new product development and how to respond to the evolving industry landscape, the firm said in a statement. He will also advise and support the firm’s clients as they undergo strategic technology implementations.

Mr McKenna joins Focus Solutions from Bankhall/Sesame where as head of e-business he was responsible for developing the firm’s approach to the market from an e-business perspective. Prior to this role, Mr McKenna held strategic roles at Abbey and Royal & Sun Alliance, as well as previously working as an independent financial advisor.

“We believe he will be a key asset in delivering Focus’ offerings across our entire consultancy operation,” said Richard Stevenson, chief executive of Focus Solutions.

As lead business consultant Mr McKenna succeeds Chris Pitt, who is believed to have left the company to pursue other opportunities.
