Cazenove Capital Management, the London-based asset management firm, has appointed Simon Cooper to its private wealth management division. In his new role, Mr Cooper will be responsible for business development and managing Cazenove's relationships with existing self-invested personal pension (SIPP) providers and independent financial advisors in respect of discretionary fund management, the firm said in a statement. Mr Cooper joins the firm from Rathbone Investment Management where he spent several years as a head of the UK intermediaries sales team for retail funds. “Simon’s experience gleaned from his time at Rathbones will be invaluable as we look to further develop Cazenove Capital’s SIPP business, which has enjoyed large inflows over the last three years. Simon’s recruitment demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible levels of service in this fast growing area of our business,” said Mary-Anne Daly, head of private wealth management at Cazenove Capital. In other recent hires, in early December last year Cazenove Capital appointed Kuldip Shergill as senior investment analyst to its European equity team.
