SEI Appoints Nordic Client Head

SEI, the US-based provider of asset servicing and investment management services, has appointed a director of client services for the Netherlands.

As director, Alexander van Aken will work from SEI’s Dutch office with responsibility for all aspects of client service in the Netherlands working closely SEI’s advice and relationship teams in London and Pennsylvania.

Mr van Aken takes over from Peter in de Rijp, who was managing director of client service in the Netherlands. Mr Rijp has now been appointed managing director of sales for the region.

Prior to this appointment Mr van Aken worked for Fortis Investments as head of Investment Specialist Solutions.

“The depth of his experience in the Dutch asset management industry and in particular his knowledge of Fiduciary Management and Liability Driven Investment will be invaluable in this new role. The Netherlands is an extremely important market for SEI,” said Nigel Down, head of European client service at SEI.
