Butterfield Backs Guernsey's Asia Strategy

Butterfield Bank has again expressed support for Guernsey Finance's expansion drive in Asia.

Butterfield, which offers custody, investment management, fiduciary, and private banking services to individual and institutional clients, already has an office in Hong Kong and is looking to complement Guernsey Finance's Shanghai presence and cover the rest of the region.

" focus supports our goal and by working alongside them we hope that we can also add value to the Island's mission in the Far East," said Brian Action, head of marketing and business development for Butterfield in a statement.

Butterfield managing director Paul Hodgson is expected to join the Guernsey Finance delegation at its Hong Kong and Shanghai conferences by the end of October.

Guernsey Finance is the promotional agency for Guernsey's finance industry.
