Credit Suisse nabs senior exec to lead Asian PB sales

Theytaz takes one of several senior-slot positions the bank wants filled. Credit Suisse has hired Philippe Theytaz, former head of strategy and market development at
SG Private Banking's Asian-Pacific arm, as its chief of business development, reports FWR's sister publication WealthBriefingAsia.

Zurich-based Credit Suisse has been at particularly active recruiter of senior bankers in Singapore over the last few months. It recently lured Tee Fong Seng away from UBS as vice chairman of its Asia private banking operations.
Theytaz joined SG Private Banking as head of business development in 2007, where he played an important role in the French wealth-management firm's expansion in the region. Prior to joining SG Private Banking, he was an consultant with IBM.
Credit Suisse is expected to confirm additional senior-level hires in Asia shortly.
