Private Bank has appointed Denny Pole (pictured) as managing director and market head, Financial Intermediaries (FIM) Switzerland, effective 1 September 2026. Alongside Pole, Weiwei Chen is joining as vice president and relationship manager, a Deutsche Bank spokesperson confirmed in a memo. Pole and Chen are both joining from Julius Baer in Zurich, where Pole most recently served as team head and senior advisor, Intermediaries Emerging Markets. Pole brings over 20 years of wealth management and client coverage experience, including more than 10 years in leadership roles across Switzerland, Luxembourg and Singapore with Julius Baer and UBS. Together, Pole and Chen bring industry experience, client relationship skills and market knowledge to these newly-created roles. They will bolster the bank’s ability to originate, grow and prudently manage the FIM business across Europe, international and emerging markets, the firm said in a statement. Based in Zurich, Pole will report functionally to Hugo van Kattendijke, head of FIM Emerging Markets, and locally to Clemens Kaiser, CEO of Deutsche Bank Switzerland and head of Private Bank Central Europe. Existing FIM colleagues in Switzerland will report to Pole. Deutsche Bank says its Private Bank's FIM business, also known as external asset managers (EAM), delivers sustainable growth through specialist coverage, "industry-leading" practices and continuous improvement of its capabilities. Its Private Bank locations include Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai (DIFC) and the US.
