UK-based , which has £4 billion ($5.4 billion) in assets under management, has appointed Edward Ellis (pictured) as chief financial officer.

Based in London, he will work with the executive team and the finance team in Bristol. Ellis joined Clifton in late July taking over from Ellis Organ, who has retired after nearly 30 years at the business.

Most recently, Ellis worked for the Kingswood Group (which was bought by Mattioli Woods) as the director of strategy, financial planning and analysis. Prior to that he was at NatWest Group. He holds an economics degree from the University of St Andrews and has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.

“Edward joins Clifton at an important moment for the business, and his mix of audit training and commercial finance experience will strengthen how we plan and grow,” Neil Greenaway, CEO, Clifton Asset Management, said. “He follows Ellis Organ, who has led our finance function for nearly three decades at Clifton AM and built the foundations we rely on today. We are grateful for everything Ellis has contributed over the years, and we wish him a long and happy retirement. Edward has already made a strong impression across the team, and I look forward to seeing what he brings to the role.”

Clifton Asset Management, which is part of the Clifton Group and parent company of Clifton Wealth Partnership and Morgan Lloyd, looks after pensions and investments on behalf of more than 15,000 clients.
