to acquire their entire stake in SLIB (Services Logiciels d'Intégration Boursière). SLIB is a Paris-based capital markets software specialist.
The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and consultation with employee representative bodies, is expected to close by 31 December 2026.
SLIB was founded in 1988 from the Lyon Stock Exchange's IT department and has grown into a software provider serving 30 clients through a team of more than 140 professionals based in Paris, Lyon and Lisbon. Its offering spans securities processing, retail brokerage and risk management. These run alongside implementation and support services for capital markets clients including asset servicers, broker-dealers and banks.
Objectway's platform covers client lifecycle management, advisory and portfolio management, core banking, securities back-office and fund administration for wealth management, private banking and asset management clients across EMEA and Canada.
The acquisition would extend Objectway’s coverage into the trading and execution layer of capital markets, adding front-to-back securities processing, clearing, settlement and risk management capabilities.
Such a deal would also broaden Objectway's client base in France and give it a presence in Lisbon through SLIB's existing hub there, Objectway said in a statement yesterday.
Objectway says its platform administers more than €2 trillion ($2.28 trillion) in assets and serves over 100,000 investment professionals and more than 10 million investors. The group, which reports turnover of more than €170 million, operates from offices in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Benelux, Ireland, the UK and Canada, with more than 1,000 staff.
The firm has made a number of M&A moves. At the start of July, it bought the Swiss private banking tech business FNZ Switzerland SA (formerly operating as New Access) from FNZ. The business will now be operated under the Objectway Switzerland brand. A team of more than 160 professionals have come over to Objectway. The financial terms in that case were not disclosed.
In January 2024, Objectway bought Canadian digital wealth solutions business Nest Wealth.
