New York-headquartered , an independent, privately owned investment management firm, has appointed Edward Berry (pictured) as managing director, alternative credit. Based in London, he will report to Rémi Casals, head of international wealth solutions.

Berry will be responsible for providing product expertise across First Eagle’s alternative credit platform and supporting global distribution efforts within institutional and wealth channels. He will work with investment teams, investor relations and distribution partners to promote the firm’s alternative credit capabilities, including the premium franchise of Napier Park Alternative Credit, in particular, developing private credit investment solutions within direct lending, structured credit and real assets.

Berry will also promote First Eagle’s fixed income offerings by expanding access to well-performing Diamond Hill fixed income strategies for clients outside the US. Additionally, he will support the long-standing strategic relationship with Amundi, First Eagle’s global distribution partner, and advance growth across international markets.

Previouisly, Berry served as head of UK and global consultant relations at AlbaCore Capital overseeing North American distribution. In that role, he led investor engagement across institutional, wealth and insurance channels and acted as a portfolio specialist for direct lending and structured credit strategies. He brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, including in business development at PIMCO Europe.

Berry earned a BA in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford and an MiF from London Business School. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
