UK-based , which has been operating across the North West since 1985, has recruited Mike Barnes (pictured) as its newest financial planner, taking its expert team to 18 people. Barnes, a qualified lawyer, brings a clear, thoughtful approach to building wealth that has been honed at the academy of a national wealth management firm and, more recently, at a regional financial planning business, the firm said in a statement late last week. He also spent time in property investment before moving into financial planning. Barnes’ appointment will help the firm manage a 33 per cent increase in funds under influence, as well as ensuring that Clarion continues to provide the highest level of personalised service. “Mike is a great appointment for our business. He will work closely with me in managing several longstanding client relationships, ensuring continuity and the highest level of service,” John Winstanley, managing director, said. “This collaboration will also help me dedicate more time to drive our strategic development and ensuring we continue to create better lives for our clients – supporting individuals and families to use their wealth to live well today, while also planning confidently for the next generation.” Two years ago, led by Winstanley and directors Adam Wareing, Matt Sherratt and Alistair Cartwright, an MBO was completed, giving the business the platform to increase annual revenues by 16 per cent. The firm now has plans to recruit an associate financial planner and an advisor client support over the next 12 months to support continued growth. Clarion Wealth Planning says it is also investing in integrating AI into its core business processes to streamline operations to give its financial planners more time to spend where it matters most – meeting clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored financial advice and long-term guidance. , a cross-border wealth manager, has appointed three senior figures in its London business.Clarion Wealth Planning
