London-based has appointed Jonathan Grimes as head of its criminal litigation team, taking effect from 1 April. He joined the firm in 2002 and became a partner in 2010.

Grimes, who will continue to serve clients, will be taking over the leadership role from Louise Hodges. Hodges will concentrate on developing the team’s practice and her own client work, the firm said in a statement. 

Kingsley Napley’s criminal litigation team has operated for nine decades.

Grimes has been a specialist criminal law advisor to individuals and organisations for 25 years. Hodges has led the team for eight years.
