Schroders Morris, who has previously worked at Schroders, will return to the firm reporting into Johanna Kyrklund, group chief investment officer. He will officially rejoin Schroders on 5 January 2026, the firm said in a statement. He brings experience across quantitative investing, client-focused solutions and the development of scalable technology platforms at global firms, most recently as chief investment officer, Systematic Investments, at Allspring Global Investments. As CIO, he led a global team and oversaw the strategy to deliver highly customised portfolios at scale. He also led the firm’s UK office. Morris spent much of his early career at Schroders, where he managed liability-driven investment solutions (LDI) solutions in London and US portfolio solutions in New York. In this new role, Morris will bring together Schroders’ strengths in active management, including modelling, asset allocation, derivatives, quantitative techniques and sustainable investment. Using technology such as AI, he will play a critical role in transforming the delivery of these capabilities into client solutions through the firm’s operating and technology platform. “He is a highly experienced quant investor and his innovative approach and client-focused mindset will be invaluable as we build on our market-leading capabilities to scale our platform and support continued growth,” Johanna Kyrklund, group CIO, Schroders said. Tyndall Investment Management Pile has more than 20 years’ investment experience of managing private client portfolios. Previously, he worked at Ruffer LLP as a director in the private wealth division managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and family offices. Pile joined the firm in 2009 as an investment manager. Prior to this, he gained three years’ experience as an investment manager at Gillespie Macandrew. “While we have enjoyed significant growth since launch, our success stems from the calibre of individuals who have joined Tyndall, bringing with them a commitment to the values on which the firm was established,” Edward Allen, investment director and head of Tyndall’s private client practice, said. “Over the course of his career, Oliver has clearly demonstrated that he shares these values and as such he will be an excellent fit within our broader team.”
