International moves – the UK, Switzerland, rest of Europe, Middle East and select jurisdictions
JP Morgan Private Bank appointed Carrie Tang as a managing director and wealth advisor. It also named Luke Yang as an executive director and banker.

Tang brought more than 31 years of wealth advisory experience to her new role. Yang, who joined the US private bank’s Taiwan team in the Hong Kong office, had more than 13 years of experience in wealth management.

Union Bancaire Privée appointed a new senior executive officer for its Dubai office. Arfat Qayyum, previously at Credit Suisse, succeeded Mohamed Shoukry. Qayyum had more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, working in North America and the Middle East. Before this, he served as CEO of Credit Suisse’s Qatar branch and was head of private banking and wealth management at Al Khalij Commercial Bank, covering Qatar and the UAE.

Allianz Global Investors appointed Björn Jesch as chief product officer in the product solutions and marketing division. Based in Frankfurt, Jesch became a member of AllianzGI’s executive committee, reporting to Tobias Pross, CEO of Allianz Global Investors. Jesch previously worked for German asset manager DWS, where he was global chief investment officer and CEO of DWS Switzerland. Before that, he was global head of multi-asset and solutions and chief investment officer, EMEA, at DWS Group.

J O Hambro Capital Management added two professionals to its Global Emerging Markets Opportunities team: Roshni Bolton as fund manager and Jack Gater as analyst. Bolton rejoined the firm with more than 12 years’ experience across equity markets and fund structures. Gater joined J O Hambro in 2022.

TMF Group, a global provider of fund and corporate services, appointed Ramesh Ketti as global operations and technology director of fund services and capital markets. Based in Dubai, Ketti had more than 20 years of experience in financial services.

Growthdeck, the venture capital business, appointed Frederick Hamilton as CEO and Kieron Launder as board chairman. Hamilton, previously head of investment, had been with the organisation for more than two years. Launder had served in senior roles including head of strategic advisory services at Rothschild Private Banking & Trust, advising ultra-high net worth families, and chief investment officer at Schroders & Co, the private banking arm of Schroders.

Sarasin & Partners appointed Aimee Searle as regional business development manager covering Wales and the Southwest. She had worked with intermediary firms in the region through prior roles at Aegon and LV.

Oberon Investments Group appointed Barry Smead as head of Investment Management. He co-led the division alongside Phil Smeaton, chief investment officer. Most recently, Smead was chief operating officer of Investment Management at JM Finn.

Quilter Cheviot appointed Yumna Yusuf as a responsible investment analyst, reporting to Gemma Woodward, head of responsible investment. Previously, Yusuf was a climate engagement associate within Schroders’ sustainable investment team.

Gareth Williams left his role as managing director and co-head of the global equity team at BlackRock. Williams had worked at the US-headquartered business since 2005, when it was known as Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

Pictet Wealth Management appointed Nina Hoas as senior philanthropy strategist. Hoas had more than 25 years’ experience across the international development and humanitarian sector as well as wealth management. Based in Geneva, she previously headed LGT Bank’s philanthropy advisory department, which she founded, and before that was executive director for philanthropy advisory at UBS.

The Apex Group appointed Kimberly DeTrask as chief financial officer (CFO) and Maxwell Johnston as chief business officer (CBO).

LGT Wealth Management appointed Kirsty Thomson as a wealth planner in its Edinburgh office. Thomson, who began her career as a solicitor in 2009, had over 15 years of experience supporting high net worth individuals.

Bank Aston, a new Guernsey-based bank for offshore trustees, investment funds and family offices, appointed Claire Whittet and Roy McGregor as its first non-executive directors. Whittet had more than 40 years’ banking experience and was formerly co-head of Rothschild & Co Bank International in Guernsey. McGregor was a former CEO of Credit Suisse in the Channel Islands, a position he held for a decade until 2016.

Titanbay, a European private markets infrastructure provider, appointed Timo Paul as head of Switzerland. He brought over two decades of experience at UBS and Natixis Investment Managers.

IPGL, a privately held investment company, appointed Simon Brazier as CEO, succeeding Seth Johnson, who stepped down.

Sarasin & Partners appointed Tom Vernon as head of its private client team, succeeding Jamie Black, who remained with the firm as senior partner and director of Sarasin Asset Management. Vernon joined the firm in 2006.

SEI appointed Diane Seymour-Williams as board chair of SEI Investments (Europe) Limited (SIEL) and David Lawton as independent non-executive director.

Seymour-Williams, who joined SIEL’s board in 2019, succeeded Patrick Disney following his retirement. She had three decades of global investment experience, holding leadership positions at Deutsche Asset Management, LGM Investments, and as a founding partner of Acorn Capital Advisers.

Lawton had 40 years of experience in financial services, regulation and public service, including the FCA and HM Treasury, and served in several non-executive roles across the sector.

Schroders expanded its Value investment team with two appointments: Graham Shircore and Steve Woolley as UK-focused investment analysts. Shircore had more than 20 years of equity investment experience, while Woolley had 17 years of Value investment experience.

The Openwork Partnership appointed Rob Barker as CEO. Barker was most recently head of insurance, wealth and asset management EMEA at Alvarez & Marsal. Previously, he spent 10 years at Aviva in roles including CEO of Wealth and CEO of Protection & Health.

Deutsche Bank Private Bank UK hired Gaurav Gaur as head of risk management for wealth management UK, reporting to Alexandre Francois. Gaur brought more than 17 years of risk management experience, having spent three years at JP Morgan Wealth Management in London. The bank also appointed Jaryd Selinger and Freddie Lindesay as relationship managers for family offices and ultra-high net worth clients, reporting to Adam Proctor.

Saffery Trust Cayman appointed Lauretta Bennett as director. Bennett had over 15 years of experience in the private client sector, specialising in ultra-high net worth family offices.

Charles Stanley appointed Celine Legaspi as sustainable portfolio lead and responsible investment analyst. Legaspi joined from investment consultancy Redington, bringing ESG expertise to the team.

Ascot Lloyd appointed Eden Scrivenger as chief technology and operations officer, succeeding Jaco Cebula, who left to pursue other opportunities.

Andrew Bates, former head of private banking in the Middle East for Nedbank, joined AES International as CEO for its wealth management and family office business, based in the UAE. He joined after a 21-year career at Nedbank.

Oberon Investments appointed Peter Martin, former Odey Asset Management CEO and partner, as senior funds director. Martin previously held senior posts at Rothschild Private Bank, JP Morgan and Fleming Private Asset Management.

Wedlake Bell, a City law firm, appointed two partners: James Fry, who joined from Fladgate, and Emma Sear, who joined from Trowers & Hamlins.

Nucleus Financial Platforms appointed Andrew Ring as chief financial officer, replacing Alan McDonald, who had served as interim CFO since the end of last year. Ring had two decades of experience across the financial services sector, most recently as chief financial and commercial officer for FNZ in the UK, Middle East and Africa.

Mirabaud Asset Management appointed Gurdeep Bumbra as senior portfolio manager within its global equities franchise, based in London.

Russell-Cooke, a London-based law firm, appointed Roger Longarón, a Spanish-qualified lawyer and tax advisor.

Ogier, the offshore professional services firm, announced career progressions for 47 team members globally, including 17 lawyers and others across corporate, fiduciary, and business services divisions.

UBS Global Wealth Management appointed Stephanie Khalef-Wassmer as client advisor in London, joining the global family and institutional wealth team reporting to François-Olivier Mercier. She was previously a senior investment advisor at JP Morgan Private Bank in London.

Barnett Waddingham, a UK professional services consultancy, appointed Nick Cooper as CEO of BW SIPP. Cooper had more than three decades of experience in the SIPP and master trust markets, including international exposure.

Shiprock Capital Management, a London-based investment management firm, appointed Mauro Roca as senior sovereign strategist. Roca had previously worked at TCW Group, Goldman Sachs, the IMF, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Central Bank of Argentina.

SimCorp, the fintech subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, named Peter Sanderson as CEO. Sanderson, former chief executive at GAM Investments (2019–2024), succeeded Georg Hetrodt, who was due to retire after 27 years with the company.

Moneyfarm, a UK-headquartered pan-European digital wealth manager, appointed Nitesh Palana as chief risk and compliance officer. Palana had more than 20 years’ experience in financial regulation, management consultancy and fintech.

Ascot Lloyd also appointed David Morcher as chief investment officer of Ascot Lloyd Investment Management, succeeding Graham Bentley, who retired.

Chetwood Bank, the UK challenger bank, appointed Mark Foulsham as a non-executive director.

M&G Investments appointed Martin Kwiatkowski as director of asset management operations, reporting to chief operating officer Richard Godfrey. Kwiatkowski previously worked at Aberdeen as chief operating officer of investments.

Collyer Bristow, a London law firm, appointed Carly Russell as a partner in its private client group. Russell had over 25 years’ experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious private wealth matters, domestically and internationally.

North America
Steward Partners said financial advisor Casper Terpinski joined its Dallas, Texas-based Park Cities Group team as managing director and wealth manager. Terpinski has worked for more than four decades in the industry as a broker and financial advisor. He co-owns TurnPro LLC.

RBC Wealth Management – US said Carol Mani Johnston joined as a managing director and financial advisor in its San Antonio, Texas branch. Johnston, formerly at UBS where she managed $300 million in client assets, has worked in the sector for almost 40 years. She spent the majority of her career at Smith Barney before joining UBS.

Churchill Asset Management, an investment specialist of asset management group Nuveen, appointed Michael Foley as senior managing director, head of institutional. He is based in New York City and has more than 20 years’ experience in asset management. He joined from Franklin Templeton where he led the firm’s US institutional direct sales, consultant relations and relationship management teams. Prior to that, he led Guggenheim’s institutional client group for the Americas and Europe and held distribution leadership roles at BlackRock and AllianceBernstein.

Churchill also added to its investor solutions group, appointing Elizabeth Leung as managing director, head of client services. Leung has 25 years of investor relations experience, most recently serving as partner, MD, and co-head of client relations and business development at Aetos Alternatives Management. 

iCapital appointed Drew Carrington as managing director, alternatives in retirement portfolios. Carrington reports to Dan Vene, co-founder, MD, and co-head of iCapital Solutions for iCapital. 

The firm also appointed Sonali Basak, former lead Wall Street correspondent for Bloomberg Television, as chief investment strategist. Basak most recently served as Bloomberg Television’s lead global finance correspondent and anchor, where she covered the financial institutions shaping markets worldwide – from global banks and asset managers to private equity giants and hedge funds.

Private markets platform and manager Moonfare appointed its chief investment officer, Sanjay Gupta, to become its CEO in the US and CIO for proprietary products. Gupta moved to New York from London.

CBIZ, a US professional services advisor, named former Avantax Wealth Management senior figure Jennifer Hutchins as chief investment officer of CBIZ Investment Advisory Services. Most recently, Hutchins was co-chief investment officer at Avantax, leading the portfolio management and diligence teams. 

Sanctuary Wealth brought in Marksman Wealth Management to its partner firm network. San Antonio, Texas-based Marksman, was founded by president and senior wealth advisor Joseph Schuetze. Most recently, he affiliated with PAX Financial Group, also in San Antonio – a firm he co-founded. 

Ameriprise Financial brought in two financial advisors to its independent channel who brought more than $150 million in combined client assets from Commonwealth Financial Network. The advisors are Chris Theis, based in Millsboro, Delaware, and Michael Thomas, based in Hamilton, Montana.

Envestnet appointed John Hofmann as chief financial officer, reporting to CEO, Chris Todd. He succeeded Josh Warren, who had served as CFO since 2023. Hofmann has more than 25 years’ financial, operational, and M&A experience across software-as-a-service, enterprise software, healthcare technology, data analytics, and fintech/payments. He has served as CFO for many private equity-backed companies, most recently at athenahealth, a healthcare software company. 

Sterlington, a law firm with offices in New York and Philadelphia, added a wealth team to its ranks. The joiners, who included Daniel Cooper, Emalee Welsh, and Daniel Carmody, came from Morgan Lewis, an international law firm.

Citi Wealth appointed Clinton Warren as Citi Private Bank North America’s Central Market executive. Reporting to Chris Biotti, the head of Citi Private Bank for North America, Clinton leads teams in Texas, Chicago and Denver. Clinton joined from JP Morgan Private Bank where he served as regional head of investments and advice for the South region. Before joining the Dallas private banking team, Clinton managed the multinational corporate banking division for JP Morgan’s Southwest region.

Dennis Mangalindan, a former senior figure at SEI Archway for more than 14 years, became a senior director of sales at Canoe Intelligence. He is based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Since March 2011, Mangalindan worked at SEI Archway; since July 2017 he was vice president, business development, based in New York. 

SEI appointed former BlackRock senior figure Robert Hum as head of investment product development and activation. Hum reports to Michael Lane, head of SEI’s asset management business. With 15 years of industry experience, Hum most recently served as managing director and US head of factor, outcome and alternative ETFs at BlackRock. 

The Atlanta, Georgia-headquartered family office managing the private wealth of The Home Depot founder, Arthur M Blank, recruited a new CEO. Andrea DeMarco took up the C-suite role at the Arthur M Blank Family office. DeMarco has been president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises since January 2023. DeMarco reports to Arthur M Blank, chairman of the family office.

Russell Investments appointed Emily Steinbarth and Brad Jung as co-heads of North America advisor and intermediary services. They report to Zach Buchwald, chairman and CEO. Separately, the firm appointed Ravi Arulanantham as global head of wealth strategy and solutions. Arulanantham leads development of Russell Investments’ wealth offering – including ETFs, separately managed accounts, interval funds, and model portfolios. 

Shweta Narasimhadevara joined the firm as chief solutions officer, a job involving managing the global product team. Based in New York and reporting to president and chief investment officer Kate El-Hillow, Narasimhadevara oversees the strategy, development, and commercialization of products and solutions across Russell Investments’ wealth, institutional, and alternatives channels. Narasimhadevara previously served in senior roles at State Street, Bank of New York, and Barclays.

Payne Financial Consultants affiliated with Osaic via its relationship Alpha Omega Wealth Partners. Led by managing representative David Payne, the firm joined from LPL Financial. Based in Statesville, North Carolina, Payne Sr was joined by his sons, Zach Payne, investment specialist, and Andrew Payne, client relationship specialist. The team came from Osaic office of supervisory jurisdiction (OSJ) Alpha Omega.

In another case, Providence Wealth Planning, based in Southern California, joined Osaic’s network. It was founded in 2016 by father and son duo, Mark and Ian Massey. Kyle Massey – son of Mark and brother of Ian – joined as managing partners following a 20-year career that includes more than 15 years at E*TRADE and Morgan Stanley. Others who joined are Paul Leone, Aldo Santana, Tyler Brashears, and administrative director Neida Cox. 

UBS appointed two new market directors in the San Diego region. DeAnne Steele leads the Carmel Valley and Rancho Bernardo offices, and George Towers III leads the La Jolla and Downtown San Diego offices.

Cherry Creek Family Offices appointed Jason Perlioni, former CIO of Johns Hopkins University, as senior partner and chairman of the investment committee. Perlioni previously served as CIO at the multi-billion-dollar single-family office of The Pritzker Group, leading the asset management effort. 

Fortress Investment Group appointed Ti Kazaryan as managing director, head of US Southern Pacific sales for its private wealth solutions business. He reports to Adam Bobker and Nils Wilson, global co-heads of private wealth solutions and is based in Los Angeles. Kazaryan – with nearly two decades of experience in alternative investments and private wealth distribution – was most recently senior vice president, alternatives specialist, at PIMCO. 

Investcorp added four senior figures to its Strategic Capital Group:
-- Amir R Rezvani, head of Middle East Coverage, based in the Gulf Cooperation Council region; 
-- Jon Hays, head of head of wealth coverage, based in New York; 
-- Svein Floden, operating partner, based in New York; and
-- Lindsay Shagrin, vice president, based in New York. 

EP Wealth Advisors appointed Justin Mikhalevsky as chief product and technology officer. Mikhalevsky previously served as head of analytics, AI and business systems at Kestra.

Houston-headquartered Pandion Asset Management, a US SEC-registered investment advisor (RIA), appointed Horatio H Sparkes in the newly-created role of senior director of business development and investor relations. Sparkes has over 30 years of experience across the pension and financial services industries. He previously served as partner and managing director at CapSource Productions and has held senior business development positions at APEX, Geronimo Investment Management, and The Yucaipa Companies.

Baron Capital made three senior appointments: Jake Lilie as chief technology officer; Eleena Melamed as head of strategic partnerships; and Gaby Vogel as head of distribution strategy.

Raymond James
Raymond James made a round of additions to its different channels: 

North Carolina
Former Edward Jones advisor Shannon Chiarello joined the independent advisor channel. At Edward Jones, she managed more than $130 million in client assets. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Chiarello operates as Chiarello Wealth Management. 

New Jersey, Florida
The group welcomed a team of 16 financial advisors to its independent advisor channel. With offices in Morristown, New Jersey and West Palm Beach, Florida, Greenberg & Rapp and its Eagle Rock Wealth Management subsidiary are led by founders and principals Thomas C Rapp, and Ronald J Greenberg, and managing partner Patrick Maguire. They are joined by 14 senior financial professionals:

-- T Keith Brown, wealth advisor; 
-- Bill Conroy, financial advisor; 
-- Jordan Crowley, financial advisor; 
-- Jonathan Crozier, wealth advisor;

The team came from M Financial Group where they collectively managed about $1.8 billion in client assets. 

Pennsylvania
The firm also welcomed financial advisor Paul Milnes to its employee advisor channel. Based in Devon, Pennsylvania, Milnes operates as Milnes Wealth Management of Raymond James. He arrived from Wells Fargo.

Raymond James welcomed wealth advisor Gino P Molettieri to its independent advisor channel. He joined from Commonwealth Financial Network.

Michigan
It brought in five financial advisors to its independent advisor channel. The team comprises advisors Mark Kerr, David DeVantier, Brandon Proctor, Isaiah Bross and Ross Terrasi. They were joined by office manager Colleen Geftos, director of client services Michelle Ramirez, and paraplanner Drew Ditto. Based in Dundee, Michigan, the group operates under the name of Village Wealth Management.

Ohio
Raymond James welcomed financial advisors Stew Flaherty and Tami Colvin to its independent advisor channel. They came from Commonwealth Financial Network. They operate as FlahertyColvin in Westerville, Ohio and were joined by registered service representative Lia Casino, and client services associates Erin Bäby and Tamara Adams.

Other advisor groups joining Raymond James:

Massachusetts
Charlene Dolan, Danielle Holmes, and John MacDonald came from Commonwealth Financial Network. In their new berth, the team goes under the name of Linden Financial Group, based in Amesbury, Massachusetts. 

Connecticut
The business also brought in a team of three financial advisors in Wallingford, Connecticut, to its independent advisor channel. Jeremy Lobo, Chris Pascale and Michael “Mike” Mendillo came from Commonwealth Financial Network, where they managed more than $300 million in client assets.

Illinois
In other moves, Raymond James brought in financial advisors Thomas Ray and Matt Broch to its employee advisor channel. The duo co-founded Heartland Capital Wealth Management of Raymond James. Ray and Broch arrived from Wells Fargo Advisors. The team is based in Springfield, Illinois.

Wisconsin
The firm also brought in an Antigo, Wisconsin-based team consists of managing partners Travis Rose, Jeff Breit, and Scott Greening, financial consultant Quincy Johnson, director of operations Anne Nowak, director of client relations Ashley Hable, and branch professional Julianna Maus. The team was previously affiliated with Thrivent Financial.

New York
Raymond James brought in five financial advisors in Depew, New York to the firm’s independent advisor channel. As Buffalo Financial, the team comprises advisors Jeremy Beck, Matthew Pitrola, Jacob Wood, Tyler Sacco and Matt Wojick, supported by business coordinator Trish Del Prince, administrative assistant Dawn Esslinger, marketing consultant Haley Travers and client service and research assistant Gavin Beck. The team joined from Commonwealth Financial Network.

Florida
It welcomed financial advisors Leo Boisvert, and Erik Heben, to its independent advisor channel. They previously worked at Commonwealth Financial Network. Boisvert and Heben co-founded Private Wealth Consultants, based in Fort Myers, Florida. They were joined by client services manager Paula Heben and client service associate Dawn Mannina-Sanford.

The firm brought in advisors Michael “Covey” Davis and Manuel “Manny” Benitez, to its employee advisor channel – in Naples, Florida. They arrived from Merrill Lynch.

Asia-Pacific
The private banking arm of Deutsche Bank appointed two senior figures to join its Global South Asia and Africa team: Ravi Mano and Naushad Khan. Manot, previously from Julius Baer, was named managing director and senior relationship manager. He has more than two decades’ experience in managing Indian sub-continent clients across Asia and the Middle East. Manot started his career with ABN AMRO in India in 2003 and, over the years, worked with other private banks such as Coutts and BSI private bank.

Former UBS figure Naushad Khan joined as director and RM. Khan managed client relationships across Asia and Middle East for more than 20 years. Prior to joining UBS, Khan worked with other global and boutique private banks such as Citibank, ANZ and EFG Private Bank.

UBS appointed Claudy Ho as market team head in the private client Hong Kong team. Ho reports to Jamee Wong, head of the Greater China private client business at UBS Global Wealth Management. Ho, who has worked at Swiss and US private banks, managing portfolios for UHNW clients, also worked at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse.

Schroders Capital appointed Junnosuke Ando as head of real estate for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Ando, based in Singapore, works with the regional team in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Andrew Moore, head of Asia Pacific real estate, assumed the role of chairman, Asia Pacific real estate. He is based in Hong Kong. Ando joined Schroders Capital from his position as head of real estate, Asia-Pacific at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), a Canadian pension with $29 billion of real estate net assets under management.

Schroders appointed Marita McGinley as head of operations, Asia-Pacific, adding to her role as global head of digital assets strategy. She reports to Dionne Smith, global head of platform services and Keith Frimpong, global head of platform change. McGinley joined the firm in 2016.

AsiaNext, a digital asset exchange that mainly serves institutions, appointed David Martin as CEO for its derivatives business. Martin came from FalconX, a crypto prime brokerage.

Manulife Investment Management (Hong Kong), part of Canada-headquartered Manulife, appointed Calvin Chiu as CEO. Chiu, who joined the firm in 2010. continues to serve as head of retirement, Asia, Manulife. 

Fanny Khng, a long-standing private banker in Asia, who covered the Singapore and Malaysia markets, left Bank of Singapore.

Ocorian, the provider of private client services, recruited Andrew Ho as regional head, private clients, based in Singapore, for its growing private client business in Asia-Pacific. He has more than 20 years’ experience in senior roles across the private client sector in Singapore and Hong Kong and previously the Channel Islands. Ho reports to Annerien Hurter, global head of private client at Ocorian.

The financial markets practice of international law firm Simmons & Simmons appointed Ester Chow as a partner in its Hong Kong office. Chow’s practice deals with complex lending structures, particularly in the fast-growing areas of private credit and fund finance. With more than 13 years’ experience, she has extensive knowledge of cross-border financings, net asset value facilities, limited partner financing and acquisition finance.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a global asset management group, appointed Soichi Kimura as head of distribution retail sales, Japan. Based in Tokyo, Kimura joined the firm in August and reports to Yoshihisa Kojima, head of Japan. He joined with more than 20 years of experience in retail asset management, having worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and PIMCO.

Union Bancaire Privée in Hong Kong added three figures to its teams to bolster services to ultra-high net worth clients in Greater China. Aaron Lee joined the Geneva-headquartered bank as team head, reporting to Teresa Lee, CEO of Hong Kong and the North Asia regional head. Lee has about 20 years’ banking sector experience. UBP also brought in Charles Tam as senior relationship manager, reporting to Lee. Sue Peng joined as an RM.

Australia’s Westpac appointed former Deutsche Bank figure Stefanie Holtze-Jen as deputy chief investment officer, private wealth. At Deutsche, Holtze-Jen worked at the private banking arm of the bank in Singapore, as chief investment officer for Asia-Pacific. In total, she has worked for 30 years in investment banking, asset management and private banking across Europe and APAC.

Lombard Odier appointed Alfred Low as Hong Kong CEO and head of North Asia markets for its private client franchise. It also named Pei Pei Chern as senior relationship manager in Singapore. Low, who has more than 20 years of experience, joined from Indosuez Wealth Management, where he was managing director, head of North Asia markets and strategic partnerships. Low reports to Omar Shokur, regional head for Asia, private clients. Based in Singapore, senior relationship manager Pei Pei Chern reports to Low. Her remit includes deepening long-term client relationships in the region, in particular, focusing on Taiwan. Chern was most recently MD at Julius Baer, where she led the Greater China region. She has more than 25 years’ wealth management experience, including roles at UBS and Citibank.

UBS Global Wealth Management made senior appointments across its Asia-Pacific business.  

Neil Yiu was appointed as the market team head for Southeast Asia Hong Kong within the Hong Kong domestic and Southeast Asia Hong Kong sector. In this role Yiu reports to Adeline Chien, the head of wealth management for domestic Hong Kong and the Southeast Asia Hong Kong segments. Prior to this, Yiu was part of the direct investment and global wealth management corporate finance group, moving to the Hong Kong domestic market team head role earlier in 2025. 

Simon Chang joined the Taiwan International arm of UBS as the new market team head in Hong Kong. Chang, who reports to Damien Hsiao, the head of Taiwan International, UBS Global Wealth Management, has more than two decades’ experience in the financial service sector. 

Sherwin Wong was appointed as a market team head at the private client Hong Kong business. He joined from JP Morgan, where he served as one of the China team leads and worked for 16 years. Wong reports to Jamee Wong, the head of private clients for Greater China. 

AMINA Bank, which focuses on the cryptocurrency space, appointed former Standard Chartered, Merrill Lynch and UBS figure Michael Benz as its head for the Hong Kong and wider Asia-Pacific business region. Benz, who reports to CEO Franz Bergmueller, has worked in senior positions for more than three decades, including global head of private banking at Standard Chartered, CEO of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Asia, and head of product and services UBS Wealth Management in APAC.

Mansie Virmani, former HSBC banker, joined UBS as a client advisor for its Australia international business, located via Singapore. At HSBC, she worked in Sydney.

At Ogier in Hong Kong, Maggie Yip is now a client relationship manager, Michelle Lam and Serene Lai were promoted to manager; Miki Wong progressed to administrator.

Dragon Capital, a Vietnam-based investment manager, appointed Dr Tuan Le Anh as chief executive officer, while continuing as chief investment officer. Le Anh succeeded Beat Schuerch, who remains a director of Dragon Capital Group and Dragon Capital Vietfund Management Joint Stock Company (DCVFM). 

Allspring Global Investments appointed former Manulife Investment Management figure Sam Lo as sales director for Hong Kong. Lo, who is based in Hong Kong, is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with financial institutions. He reports to Priscilla Phoon, head of Financial Institutions, APAC ex-Japan, who leads Allspring’s business development strategy for Asia wealth within the International Client Group.

HSBC Global Private Banking appointed Edmund Lo as regional head of investment counsellors (IC), Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Lo reporta to Lok Yim, regional head of HSBC GPB, Asia Pacific. Lo had served in the role ad interim.

Nomura International Wealth Management made two appointments: Jessica Ng as an executive director and head of business management for Investment Products & Advisory Solutions (IPAS), and Francis Liu as a managing director to lead business development and strategic initiatives for Greater China. Ng reports to Sudhir Nemali, COO of IWM with a secondary reporting line to Akshay Prasad, head of IPAS. Based in Hong Kong, Liu reports directly to Sudhir Nemali, COO IWM.
