Gen II Fund Services
, a provider of tech-enabled fund administration, has appointed Besmira Uruçi (pictured below) as executive director in its Luxembourg office.

Besmira Uruçi

Uruçi brings more than 13 years of legal and regulatory experience across fund administration, AIFM services, anti-money laundering, compliance, fund marketing and distribution, delegation oversight and governance. A lawyer by training and a CSSF-approved AIFM conducting officer, she has served in senior leadership roles in the fund administration and investment management industry.

Also an educator, Uruçi served as a lecturer and jury member for the master’s program in European compliance at MSLux. She is an active contributor to the regulatory community; she has participated in the LPEA working group on the AIFMD II directive and offered strategic guidance to market entrants in Luxembourg through M&A and advisory engagements. Outside work, Uruçi is president of the Chamber of Commerce Albania-Luxembourg and a volunteer with SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde.

Coller Capital
London-headquartered , a dedicated private market secondaries manager, has hired James Peoples (pictured) as director, head of Northern Europe Private Wealth Distribution within its Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions (PWSS) team. Based in London, he will report to Boris Maeder, head of International Private Wealth Distribution.

Peoples, who has more than 15 years of private markets experience, was previously a senior alternative sales specialist at Franklin Templeton, where he was responsible for covering wealth management clients, family offices and institutional clients, with a particular focus on the Lexington secondaries strategies. Prior to that, Peoples worked at CQS, Muzinich, BlueBay Asset Management and Goldman Sachs.

“We are thrilled to welcome James, whose deep experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence and enhance our support to clients across the Northern European market.”

Coller Capital has offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, Luxembourg, Zurich, Melbourne, Montreal and Singapore. The firm, which manages $40 billion in secondaries across private equity, private credit, and other private market vehicles, has 35 years of experience in the secondary private capital market.

Indefi
, a strategy consultancy to the asset and wealth management industry, has officially opened a new office in London and appointed Nick Ring, former CEO of Columbia Threadneedle Investments EMEA, as chair of its UK business.

The strategic expansion will ensure that Indefi and its senior leadership team are even closer to the decision-making centres of its clients, across both public and private markets, the firm said in a statement.

As chair, Ring’s sector expertise gained from over three decades in the industry will support clients as they navigate these megatrends, as well as enhancing the service Indefi provides in the UK and internationally. As part of this expansion, a number of employees will be transferred to the UK office, with further senior appointments to be made in due course, the firm said.

“Nick’s appointment as chair of the UK business marks a significant step forward in Indefi’s international ambitions and will be invaluable to our clients,” Richard Bruyère, managing partner at Indefi, said. “Nick is exceptionally well-placed to provide his unique insight as we support CEOs in solving some of their most complex challenges as they seek to deliver on their strategic vision.”
