Schroders In this newly-created role, Mitchell will be responsible for enhancing and delivering Schroders’ sales and client strategy, as well as its risk and governance frameworks across the client group. Mitchell, who has extensive global experience following previous stints at Henderson Global Investors and Barclays, will report into Matt Oomen, global head of the client group. Previously, Mitchell was MD and global head of distribution business operations at BNY Investments for six years. “This is a superb appointment for us; Ed brings the optimal combination of expertise in commercial strategy and transformation. He boasts a wealth of experience, having successfully navigated various market cycles throughout his career.” Oomen said. “Ed will accelerate the progress we have already made with our strong framework for sales excellence. His skillset will help drive productivity and deliver best-in-class client experiences.” Schroders announced Oomen' has appointed Justina Stewart as partner in the Cayman Islands. A specialist in complex, cross-border litigation and arbitration, Stewart has expertise in insolvency and cases involving complex fraud as well as shareholder, investment fund, digital assets and wider financial services disputes. Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, she was based at the London Bar for many years. Before coming to the Bar, Stewart was an international investment banker, working with “top-ranked corporate finance teams on complex transactions,” the firm said in a statement. She was recently named "Commercial Junior of the Year 2025 (English Bar in the Middle East)" (Legal 500) and was nominated for 'Technology, Data and Crypto Junior of the Year' in both 2023 and 2024 (Legal 500). Stewart has also been ranked in leading legal directories in numerous practice areas for many years. "Her wealth of experience internationally in complex, cross-border litigation and insolvency will be a huge asset to our growing team,” partner Rocco Cecere, head of Collas Crill's Cayman Islands litigation team, said. Robeco To illustrate Robeco’s expansion, over the past decade, its credit franchise has grown from €15 billion ($17.57 billion) to over €40 billion in assets under management, spanning investment grade, high yield, and emerging market credit. At the same time expanding from 15 to over 40 portfolio managers and credit analysts today. "Strong investment performance starts with a well-resourced team. Our global credit team combines deep expertise, geographic coverage, and a collaborative mindset,” Joop Kohler, head of credits at Robeco, said. “With our recent additions, we’re confident we have the right structure to continue delivering alpha to our clients." New Joiners to the global credit team: Michael Booth (pictured below), senior Global IG portfolio manager, based in London, will join on 1 November. Booth has 18 years of experience, most recently at Invesco, where he managed several funds and mandates including the Global Investment Grade Corporate Fund. J D Rieber (pictured below), consumer credit analyst, based in New York, joined on 18 August. He has 25 years of experience, previously at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Aegon USA, and Principal Global Investors. Bradley Bull (pictured below), TMT credit analyst covering Telecom, based in London, joined on 16 June. Previously at M&G, Bradley has eight years of experience and is a CFA® Charter holder. Ben Taylor (pictured below), junior euro IG portfolio manager, based in Rotterdam, joined on 1 July after completing Robeco’s Global Investment traineeship. Taylor holds a master’s in economics from UCL. Old Mill Mansell's promotion reflects Old Mill’s its desire to strengthen corporate finance expertise, help clients navigate succession planning, acquisitions, management buyouts, and fundraising, it said in a statement late last week. Mansell joined Old Mill a decade ago, starting her career in the Exeter Commercial team. Since qualifying, she has been a member of the corporate finance team. In her new role, Mansell will be responsible for leading and developing the corporate finance team, fostering client relationships, embracing new technology, and other goals. “Kathryn’s promotion is a testament to her talent, commitment and drive,” Mark Neath, CEO at Old Mill, said. “She has developed her career with Old Mill, built strong relationships with clients, and proven her expertise across a wide range of corporate finance projects.
