Before this, Qayyum was head of private banking and wealth management at Al Khalij Commercial Bank, with Qatar and UAE responsibilities.

In his new role, Qayyum will report to Walid Shash and Mohamed Abdellatif, co-heads of the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

“As SEO of the Dubai office, his mission will be to drive UBP’s growth ambitions in the MEA region, where we continue to see strong demand from UHNWIs, institutional clients, and family offices for bespoke wealth management and investment solutions. He will focus on expanding our local investment capabilities and enhancing our range of Sharia compliant solutions,” UBP said in a statement.
