Former Waverton Investment Management CEO Nick Tucker has retired from his role as a non-executive director at W1IM Wealth Management – formed from Waverton’s merger last July with London & Capital.

Tucker’s retirement draws the curtain on a financial career spanning more than four decades. Tucker spent almost a decade at UBS, more than 23 years at Merrill Lynch, and most recently more than four years as CEO at Waverton Investment Management.

When Waverton merged with London & Capital, Tucker was a NED with the combined organisation.

“I am immensely proud to have played my part in bringing together Waverton and London & Capital to create W1M. The firm’s unique proposition as one home for wealth and investment management is being led by truly talented individuals, all of whom I have greatly enjoyed working with over the last five years,” Tucker said.

On his Linkedin page, Tucker wrote: “It is with a great sense of pride, joy, and a little trepidation that I call time on my executive career in wealth management. It has been an amazing 40 years and I have been lucky to work with many great people over the years.”

“Without Nick’s dedication, leadership and vision, our landmark merger would not have been possible. I would like to thank him personally for his tireless and invaluable efforts in laying the groundwork for W1M’s long-term success. We all wish him a richly deserved, long and happy retirement,” Guy McGlashan, CEO of W1M, added.
