Saltus Mary Cahani (main picture) takes onthe newly-created role of head of Defined Contribution (DC) Client Engagement. Her responsibilities include engaging with DC trust-based schemes and independent trustees focused on DC to strengthen Invesco’s solutions and presence in this market, the firm said in a statement. Tom Banks, who has been promoted to head of UK ETFs, will join Invesco’s UK Distribution management team. ETFs are a growth engine and strategic priority for Invesco, it said. Joe Bello, whose role has been expanded to include pension and insurance clients, has been promoted to head of ETF Institutional and Asset Managers; he will report to Tom Banks. Bello’s ETF knowledge and experience will be critical to growing this segment of Invesco’s ETF business, it said. Ashar Muhammad has been appointed head of UK and Alternative Consultants. Muhammad will oversee Invesco’s UK consultant strategy, working with Sachin Bhatia, Invesco’s head of UK Pensions and EMEA Consultant Relations, to enhance the firm's alternative consultant approach across EMEA. "All four promotions are a recognition of the expertise and quality of experience we have in our distribution team. Invesco has a track record for nurturing talent and, after considering a wide pool of talent, I am excited to be able to give Mary, Tom, Joe and Ashar the opportunity to drive growth and engage with clients to support our strategic priorities," Kate Dwyer, head of UK Distribution, said. Brown Shipley Based in London, Walters will serve as a member of the Brown Shipley executive committee, reporting to CEO Calum Brewster. She is also a member of Quintet’s Group HR leadership team, reporting to group head of HR Siegfried Marissens. Most recently, Walters was the London-based head of HR business partners and head of HR operations at Charles Stanley. Prior to this, she served as the Singapore-based head of HR, Asia, at Coutts, where she focused on employee engagement and business change programmes. Walters began her career in 2002 as an HR business partner at Deutsche Bank. She then moved on to take on progressively senior HR roles at firms such as Morgan Stanley, MF Global and AIG. She holds a degree in German from University College London.
