State Street, the US-listed financial conglomerate, has named former senior UBS and Credit Suisse figure Dagmar Kamber Borens as head of global markets for continental Europe for State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI). Borens is also a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committee of MCH Group Ltd, a public listed, international live marketing company (e.g. ART Basel). Since 2010, she has also been an elected member of the American Swiss Foundation Young Leaders. She is a qualified lawyer and holds a doctoral degree in law (Dr iur) from the University of Basel, where she also earned her law degree.
In this role, Borens reports to Anthony Bisegna, head of State Street Global Markets and Andreas Przewloka, CEO of SSBI.
With more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, Borens joined State Street in 2021 as country head for Switzerland. She expanded this role to lead the German depository bank business and, in January 2023, took overall management of the investment services business for the Netherlands, Austria and the Nordics.
Prior to this, Borens spent more than 17 years at UBS, where she held a number of senior management positions in Zurich, London and Singapore, including group chief financial officer for Asia-Pacific. She was also chief operating officer of the Swiss universal bank of Credit Suisse.
Borens is keeping her current responsibilities as country head for Switzerland and will remain a member of the executive management board of SSBI.
