Morgan Stanley Investment Management
(MSIM) has just announced the launch of the MS INVF Systematic Liquid Alpha Fund.

The fund aims to provide investors with an attractive level of total return while offering low correlation to traditional asset classes. Managed by the MSIM hedge funds team, it uses a diversified set of investment strategies across different asset classes, including equity, fixed income, cash equivalents, currencies and commodities, the firm said in a statement. The UK and Luxembourg-registered fund targets market neutral performance at an annualised volatility of 8 per cent over the long term.

“By focusing outside of traditional asset classes, the fund offers investors seeking portfolio diversification broad exposure to market neutral factors in a liquid format,” Rob Lunn, head of UK distribution at MSIM, said.

The fund will also be available in other markets in the coming days/weeks, the firm, which has $1.5 trillion in assets under management, added.
