C Hoare & Co Malortie (pictured) is a member of the tenth generation of the Hoare family and will become the 51st partner in the bank’s history. Malortie joined C Hoare & Co in December 2020 and has served in roles within the product, trusts and estates, risk, finance and treasury teams. In particular, she was instrumental in embedding the bank’s purpose (to be "good bankers and good citizens") within the business. Malortie brings a wide range of experience from her career prior to joining the bank. This includes working as a strategy consultant in the private sector, and in Whitehall as a strategy advisor. Malortie also has significant experience in the charitable sector, where she co-founded an educational charity, the Centre for London. She is also a qualified lawyer. Square Mile Gribbin, who has been appointed as group CFO, has had an extensive career in finance, most recently at Clyde & Co in Dubai, and previously at KPMG for over 10 years. Todd is joining as private client manager. Previously, she worked at Leagold Miller, supporting a large advisory team. Simpson, who has joined as executive assistant to the board, was previously with McKinsey in London, where she worked with senior partners. All three new hires will be based in Dubai.
