Nomura Asset Management Goldring, who joined the firm in January, has over 10 years of experience advising on contentious trusts and probate matters, working with settlors, beneficiaries, executors and trustees on a broad range of contentious matters, the firm said in a statement. He also has private wealth and commercial dispute experience, counselling individuals, family offices, charities and corporate entities on a wide array of estate planning solutions and corporate transactions. “Private capital is increasingly important to us as a firm, and Simon’s appointment is a serious indicator of our investment in this space. Simon’s overlapping specialisms in dispute resolution and private wealth are highly valued and align perfectly with Fladgate’s broader aspirations,” Jonathan Riley, partner and head of private wealth at Fladgate, said. Goldring follows the recent appointment of Georgia Quenby as a partner in its funds, finance and regulatory practice and the hires of M&A partner Tessa Trevelyan Thomas and commercial outsourcing and tech law partner Nathan Evans earlier this year, the firm said. Goldring will be joined at Fladgate by an established private wealth disputes team with whom he worked closely at his former practice, comprising senior associate Rosalind Hetherington and associates Emilly Chalk and Jerry Jamieson.
Tokyo-headquartered has appointed Simon Goldring as partner in its dispute resolution practice, alongside a team of three associates, to bolster its private wealth offering.
