Starting in September, Speroni will be responsible for delivering private banking and investment services to UK and international clients from the Mayfair office of EFG Private Bank. She will report to Michael Vlahovic, head of private banking UK.

Speroni has joined from Credit Suisse, where she was a managing director and served as team leader UK for more than five years. Prior to that, she was director of the family office team at Barclays, the firm said in a statement. Previously, she worked for Rothschild.

EFG said it is growing its private banking business in the UK and it is therefore expanding its hub and booking centre in this market. As part of this, EFG is scaling up its UK team and has hired a number of professionals to help increase its business in the region.

Earlier this year, EFG hired Inbal Shiloach as client relationship officer, focusing on Israeli ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWI). Shiloach joined the bank from Julius Baer, where she spent 12 years and most recently served as head of Israel out of London, the firm said. Prior to that, Shiloach worked for IDB London as head of private banking and for Saxo Bank as head of client development.

Vivian Yuen also joined EFG in London earlier this year as client relationship officer, with responsibility for UHNWIs based in Hong-Kong and Greater China, the firm continued. Yuen previously worked for Julius Baer Hong Kong, where she was most recently an associate manager serving private clients booked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Switzerland. EFG said it expects several more client relationship officers to join the UK team in the coming weeks.
