BNP Paribas' Wealth Arm Confirms Senior Singapore, Southeast Asia Moves

has announced several wealth management leadership changes in Singapore and the wider Asia region, with effect from 1 September, this news service can confirm.
The French bank has appointed Garth Bregman head of wealth management Singapore and Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, Bregman, who is head of investment services for Asia, will report directly to APAC chief executive Arnaud Tellier and functionally to Joris Dierckx, regional head of Southeast Asia.
Alison Lim, meanwhile, has been appointed market head for Southeast Asia. In this expanded role, she will focus on building BNP Paribas’ market share in the region, and will report to Bregman. In a memo seen by this news service, BNP Paribas said an “organisational structure will be proposed accordingly to achieve these goals.”
The appointments come at a time of continued growth in Asia-Pacific and other regions for the Paris-listed banking group, which recently reported its third-quarter financial results. This news service has also interviewed its wealth management head, Vincent Lecomte, here.
Moves
In other changes, the bank named David Lim as executive vice chairman for Southeast Asia. In this newly-created role, Lim is in charge of supporting growth of strategic clients and family office relations and “wallet share” in Southeast Asia. Lim will continue to report to Tellier.
Shafali Sachdev, who has been appointed head of investment services for Asia, is head of fixed income, currencies, and commodities (FICC) for Asia, based in Singapore.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas Wealth Management in 2017, Sachdev served in senior FICC roles in Citigroup and Bank of America across global markets and wealth management. Sachdev will report directly to Tellier and functionally to Anne-Cecile Lugagne Delpon, head of investment services, BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
