Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management – Boodle Hatfield, Close Brothers

Private wealth law firm, , has promoted David Rawlence to partner, with effect from 1 May 2023.

Rawlence (pictured), who trained at the firm, qualified as a real estate lawyer at Boodle Hatfield in 2016. He has built a significant reputation as a go-to advisor for real estate acquisitions, disposals, financing and development as well as landlord and tenant work. Rawlence advises landed estates, property companies, family offices, developers, lenders, hotel owner operators and individuals. He also has a particular specialist niche in the serviced office sector, acting with both owners and operators.

Alongside David's promotion to partnership, the firm has also promoted Fred Clark, Katherine Worrall, Katie Male and Michael Duffy to senior associate. These promotions are indicative of the firm’s continued investment in future talent and the growth of its corporate, private client and tax, real estate and family teams.

Close Brothers Asset Management
has appointed Charles Purves as senior investment director. Based in Cheltenham, Purves will provide a bespoke discretionary investment management service and manage direct client relationships across the region.

With 15 years of experience in the industry, Purves joins from Investec Wealth & Investment, where he provided investment management services for private clients, charities, and family trusts. He started at Investec in 2008, and prior to this, he worked at a stockbroking firm.
