UK Wealth Manager Appoints New Chair

, the advice-led wealth manager, has appointed senior financial services industry figure Jon Taylor as chair. Taylor, who previously sat as a non-executive director on the board, is taking over from Alison Endemano, who had been chair since Oaktree Capital Management invested in atomos in May 2022. Taylor is a highly experienced executive and non-executive director, who has served in several senior management roles within financial services including CEO of Ascentric and Co-operative Insurance. He has also provided advisory services to firms including PwC and Accenture. Taylor holds a PhD in computer science from the University of London, the firm said in a statement. Introducing Taylor, Jonathan Polin, CEO of atomos, said: "Jon combines his experience of running businesses with extensive experience in change management and digital transformation; as such he is well positioned to help steer and improve our business in all aspects of its performance. “I would also like to say a very big thank you to Alison for all her work and support over the last year. Chairing the board of a newly-acquired business such of ours is a difficult and multifaceted job, and Alison was quick to get to grips with the challenges we faced as we have set about transforming the business.” Taylor added: “I am very pleased to chair atomos at this crucial stage of the business’ development. The atomos team has already achieved a huge amount in less than a year. We are excited to continue to transform atomos to ensure clients can access a personalised face-to-face service, combined with the convenience and access to modern digital tools and a range of high-quality investment solutions.” atomos is a UK-based, digitally enabled, hybrid wealth business providing a full financial planning service and bespoke portfolio management. Originating from the Sanlam Wealth UK business, atomos is 100 per cent owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. The company manages £7 billion ($8.6) of investments and savings for around 8,000 clients.
