Vistra Lanciers will focus on continuing the rapid growth of the alternative investment sector in Luxembourg and the region as a whole. With more than 20 years’ experience, he is a senior investment management specialist with global expertise in the alternative and traditional fund industry, the firm said in a statement. Lanciers, who started his career with a Big Four firm both as an external auditor and management consultant, has served in senior management roles with US, Canadian and local service providers where he was responsible for product management, business implementation, analytics, and risk management services, the firm added. From 2012, he was a conducting officer for his company and, in his most recent role, he was in charge of business development, covering the sales strategy, products and services definition, and the development of the firm’s client portfolio, the firm said. Welcoming him to the firm, Jervis Smith, country managing director at Vistra Luxembourg said: “We are seeing a dramatic increase in the alternative space in Luxembourg as fund managers are recognising that managing funds is becoming more complex, hence, needing a service provider who can seamlessly help them establish, grow and manage their funds.” Lanciers added: “It’s an exciting time to join an organisation like Vistra where it is clearly growing and leading the way in the industry with its excellent service offering and expert professionals.”
