In this newly-created role, Nakhooda will work across the group, focusing on both internal and external corporate initiatives, as well as taking the firm’s investment framework to the highest standard, the firm said in a statement.

She will be responsible for leading on ThomasLloyd’s commitment to evolve its policies and practices in line with the global sustainability agenda, and ensure that the firm is at the forefront of impact investing, the firm added.

Welcoming the move, Sieg said: “She not only brings to ThomasLloyd her international expertise in sustainable and climate finance, but she is also joining us with years of experience working in some of our core and target markets.”

“As an Indian national and having worked in the Philippines for several years, she brings unique local insights and on-the-ground expertise that will be key in helping us tap into the most compelling sustainable infrastructure investment opportunities in the world’s fastest growing economies,” he added.

Based in Zurich, ThomasLloyd specialises in impact investing in high-growth and emerging markets across Asia.
