, an investor services provider, has appointed a dedicated Chinese family office executive, based in Jersey, as the firm seeks to target Chinese high net worth people planning to move to the UK and interested in a Jersey trust.
Briony Sun, IQ-EQ’s new Chinese FO chief executive, will join the firm’s private wealth team in Jersey.
Sun will promote the firm’s family office services to Chinese-speaking clients, in particular those originally from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. Her expertise builds on existing Mandarin capabilities within IQ-EQ’s Jersey team and the group’s operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and mainland China.
Prior to this role, Sun founded Jersey’s first Chinese school in 2016. Building upon her experience working at a major offshore law firm, she also completed her STEP Certificate in International Trust Management with distinction in the same year. She holds a bachelor of laws in international politics from Liaoning University in China, a diploma in translating and interpreting from Newcastle University, and a master’s degree in education from the University of Durham.
