JTC
, the listed, global professional services business, has appointed Sean Walsh (pictured) as director in its private client services team in Guernsey.

Walsh will play a key role in supporting JTC’s multi-jurisdictional portfolio of private clients and families, in particular working to implement robust approaches to asset protection and to educate the NextGen to ensure seamless succession planning. Walsh has a particular focus on the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, he specialises in asset protection and succession planning for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, the establishment and governance of structures ranging from trusts and private trust companies to special purpose vehicles managing complex assets such as art, businesses, landed estates, and the provision of family office services.

Before JTC, Walsh worked at a large independent fiduciary services business in Guernsey, where he oversaw a team specialising in the establishment and management of offshore vehicles and had a focus on driving the firm’s business development strategy. He is a member of STEP and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

A few days ago, the firm appointed Kate Beauchamp as an independent non-executive director. She has also been appointed as an additional member of the board's audit and risk, nomination and remuneration committees.

Kleinwort Hambros
