Asset management house has named David Allen as its new global investment management head, taking the reins from Perry Clausen, who is due to retire early in 2022.

Allen brings with him more than 20 years of global asset management experience, having specialised in building investment businesses and leading investment teams.

Prior to this role, Allen spent five years at AMP Capital, most recently as global CIO, equities, based in London where he led a global team. Allen has also served in senior investment leadership roles at Sarasin & Partners, Fidelity International, and Pioneer Investments.

First Sentier Investors manages more than £132.5 billion in assets (as at 30 September 2021) for institutional investors, pension funds, wholesale distributors, investment platforms, financial advisers and their clients. The business was renamed from First State Investments. That firm was acquired from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in August 2019 by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.

Guernsey Finance
has promoted Siôn Roberts to the role of director of its Isle of Man office, Boston Limited.

Previously head of accounting and tax, Roberts is experienced in the trust and corporate industry, having worked in the sector since 2008, after originally moving to the island with an international bank in 2004.

Roberts joined Boston in 2020 as part of the acquisition of the IQE business where he had worked since 2008. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as well as being a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

He will add further financial expertise at board level as well as retaining responsibility for overseeing the accounting and tax teams.
