Private bank has appointed two legal directors in its private client practice. Lorna du Sautoy is joining the real estate team, and tax specialist Sophie St John is joining the private wealth team.

Du Sautoy was previously at Macfarlanes, where she has practised as a senior solicitor in private client property for nearly eight years. She advises on prime and super prime London residential property and other luxury property assets, working with high net worth individuals, institutional investors, family offices, charities, banks, and trusts.

St John is rejoining from RSM Legal, where she was a partner leading the firm’s private client legal services team. Before that she spent four years at a leading financial institution as in-house legal counsel supporting its global trust business. Her particular focus is advising internationally mobile individuals and families on cross-border tax and estate planning.
