Tilney Smith & Williamson Names New Chief Operations Officer

Mayank Prakash has been appointed chief operations officer at , starting on 1 April. He is taking over from Donald Reid, who is retiring in May. Reid, who has been with the firm for more than a decade, will stay on in an advisory role, the firm said.

Prakash joined Tilney Smith & Williamson as chief technology officer last September after the firm completed its merger. Prior to that, he served as chief consumer digital and information officer at utilities group Centrica. He has also managed digital transformation projects for the UK Department of Work and Pensions, and was elected this month as deputy president of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

“Mayank has an impressive track record leading teams and implementing large-scale transformation programmes across the private and public sector. As the new chief operations officer, he will continue to drive our digital investment and innovation agenda forward alongside leading our operations teams to deliver excellent client experience and support the scalability of our fast-growing business,” chief executive, Chris Woodhouse, said in a statement.

He also thanked Reid for his “huge contribution” to the business over the last eleven years, “which has been a period of significant growth and change.”
