HSBC In Singapore Due To Name New CEO Soon - Report

is poised to unveil the appointment of a new Singapore chief executive to succeed Tony Cripps, who is leaving to join the Saudi British Bank, according to The Business Times (of Singapore). The report, quoted from an internal memo, was signed by the bank's deputy chairman and chief executive Peter Wong.

The bank declined to comment.

Cripps is to be managing director-designate and board member of SABB from 4 April. SABB, in which HSBC holds a 31 per cent stake, disclosed his appointment this week, the report said.

Wong was quoted as saying that Cripps' successor will be announced "shortly."

Separately, this news service has reported on a number of wealth management team appointments in Asia. 

The UK/Hong Kong-listed group is slated to issue full-year 2020 financial results on 23 February.
