Carmignac Names New Compliance Chief

, the French asset manager, has appointed Abdellah Bouziane as global head of compliance, leading this function in the seven countries where the firm operates. The position is not a newly-created one.

Prior to this, Bouziane spent 13 years with AXA Investment Managers in various senior compliance roles, including head of compliance for the UK subsidiary and for the Asia-Pacific region. He began his career in 2003 as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also holds a master’s degree in economy and law of banking and finance.

In April last year Carmignac tapped former AXA IM operations head Gautier Ripert to become its chief operating officer.
