The UK tax authority, HM Revenue & Customs, has agreed with Liechtenstein to start exchanging information, according to the BBC.

UK tax payers with accounts in the secretive Alpine principality are likely to be offered a chance to come forward with details of their deposits in return for reduced penalties and a lower risk of prosecution, according to the report.

International pressure has been building on tax havens for more disclosure since the last G20 meeting.
