, having won an initial three-year contract to deliver cheque books.

The group’s Lisburn-based subsidiary, DLRT Ltd, will print and personalise cheque and credit books for the bank’s customers, which incorporate security features such as a Unique Coded Number.

The UCN is applied to the cheque as part of the personalisation printing process. It works in combination with the MICR (magnetic code line) and is created as an arrangement of digits, characters and symbols which can be decrypted by certified personnel using a "secret key".
