, the UK private client wealth management firm, is to relocate to larger premises in Leeds to cater for client growth and accommodate more staff. The move is expected to take place in Q4 this year.

The firm is taking the 20,500 square foot space at 3 Wellington Place in the centre of the city. Its previous office was at Quayside House, Canal Wharf, in Leeds' South Bank, Investec said in a statement.

The Leeds office of IW&I has recently recruited two trainee paraplanners and three graduate recruits, and is planning to take on more staff in future to manage growth in the private client and financial planning operations.

“The move to Wellington Place reflects the success of the Leeds business and our need to expand,” said Rowena Houston, divisional director and head of the Leeds office. “We have seen increased activity from across our regional client base, from private clients and intermediaries, and we are responding by investing in resources and talent.”

Part of the Investec group, IW&I offers wealth management and investment services to private individuals, charities, trusts, international clients and financial advisors. The firm has around 1,200 staff located at its 15 offices across the UK. IW&I has approximately £34 billion ($45 billion) in client funds under management as of 31 March 2018.

In May, this publication reported that IW&E's operating profit had risen by 5.7 per cent to £98.6 million, as shown in its end of financial year report.
