UK Law Firm Launches New Entertainment Private Client Segment

UK law firm has launched a new private client advisory service to manage the affairs of high net worth individuals from the worlds of media, sport and music.

It has appointed the former head of player liaison at English Premier League side Manchester City, Haydn Roberts, to lead the company’s new "elite advisory team".

The firm said the entity is part of a drive to strategically grow business from high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs from the entertainment industry.

“We are working to grow our business with athletes, agents and other high net worth individuals across the full range of their personal needs,” said Roberts. “We will do this by growing and maintaining trusted relationships, working with our existing spectrum of experts and the client to ensure a great experience for all.”

Media and sport segmentation is a continuing trend in the professional services sector as wealth continues to increase in the entertainment industry. In May, this publication reported that UK-based wealth manager London & Capital appointed Jonathan Gold as executive director to focus on the sports and entertainment sector as well as US clients now based in the UK.
