JP Morgan Asset Management
has made three new appointments to its exchange-traded fund business, with immediate effect.
Olivier Paquier has been appointed head of continental europe ETF distribution. He joins from State Street Global Advisors, where he managed the ETF distribution team across Southern Europe and led SSGA’s French office.
At JPMAM, Paquier will be responsible for overseeing and driving the ETF distribution effort across Europe (ex UK). He will be based in London.
Ivan Durdevic has been appointed head of ETF distribution Switzerland. He joins from Amundi, where he was deputy head of ETF and indexing sales in Switzerland.
At JPMAM, Durdevic will lead the ETF distribution effort in Switzerland, based in Zurich.
John Harrington has been appointed head of beta and ETF product. He joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for both new product development and maintaining their existing range of ETFs.
At JPMAM, Harrington will be responsible for product, including ETFs, for JPMAM’s beta strategies business. He will be based in London.
Cazenove Capital
Wealth management firm has appointed Damian Bunce as chief client officer (CCO), effective from February 19th 2018. He joins Saxo’s executive team and will report directly to Kim Fournais, founder and chief executive. Saxo Bank told this publication that this is a newly-created position. Bunce will take on some of the responsibilities left by Matteo Cassina following his departure last year and alongside this, Andrew Edwards also has Cassina’s responsibility as CEO in UK.
Bunce takes overall responsibility for originating, retaining and growing Saxo Bank’s direct and wholesale business. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry with particular expertise in electronic trading across asset classes gained through his work with a number of global banks in London, New York, Tokyo and Moscow.
His career included a nine-year spell at Goldman Sachs where he led electronic execution sales for Europe, followed by three years at Barclays Capital where he was managing director and head of European electronic sales trading and distribution. He also spent six years in Moscow most recently as the MD and global head of electronic markets at Sberbank CIB.
He takes up the role on 19 February, based in Copenhagen.
Vontobel Asset Management
has appointed Thierry Larose to its bond team, specialising in local currency bonds.
Larose has nearly three decades of industry experience.
He joins Vontobel Asset Management from Degroof Petercam Asset Management in Brussels, where he was portfolio manager of the Emerging Market Sustainable Bonds fund.
