Independent Wealth Manager Launches New Portfolio Management Service

Independent wealth manager  has launched a discretionary portfolio management service. The new service will complement the firm’s decade-old investment advisory solution.

Piers Cushing, managing director, and Rob Cloete, director, will both run the service, Plurimi said in a statement yesterday.

The discretionary portfolio management team will take an original approach to investment management.  Using client segregated accounts, Cushing and Cloete will lead the service with global multi-asset class strategies: the “dynamic strategy”, which focuses on wealth preservation, and the “astute strategy”, which focuses on growth-orientated relative returns.

Both strategies will enable the team to actively react and adapt to changing market conditions. The firm said "utilising direct instruments" will reduce costs, increase accountability and allow for more effective risk management.

“Piers and I have placed the majority of our investable wealth in the models we run,” said Cloete. “In an industry where it’s rare for portfolio managers to ‘eat their own cooking’, we want our clients to know that our financial interests are materially aligned to theirs.”

Plurimi, established in 2007, is an independent partner-owned wealth management business with offices in London, Dubai and Gibraltar.
