Board-Level Changes At GAM

Eliane Chavagnon

3 March 2017

Johannes de Gier has decided to retire and not stand for re-election to the board of directors at GAM’s next annual general meeting.

de Gier has been chairman of and its predecessor entities since 2002. His departure is part of a long-term succession plan, the firm said.

The board of directors proposes to re-elect Hugh Scott-Barrett, chairman of the audit committee since 2009, as a member of the board and chairman, as well as re-elect Diego du Monceau, Nancy Mistretta, Ezra Field and Benjamin Meuli.

Subject to regulatory approval, GAM also plans to elect David Jacob as a new board member.

Jacob is chief executive at Rogge Global Partners, a global fixed income asset manager acquired by Allianz Global Investors in 2016. Before joining in 2014, he worked at Henderson Global Investors for nine years.
