Lloyds Names Gibraltar Private Bank Head

Lloyds TSB International Banking has revealed that its country manager and head of international private banking for Gibraltar, Albert Langston, is retiring as of July 2009. The bank has appointed current regional head of expatriate banking, Mark Johnson, as country manager and Marina Dominguez Steglich as head of international private banking for the region.

Albert Langston has worked with the bank for 23 years and spent 18 years in his final role. He was the architect of the bank’s presence in Gibraltar. He served as the president of the Gibraltar Bankers’ Association, was the first president and council representative of the Gibraltar Centre of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has played a pivotal role in the creation of the Gibraltar Finance Centre Council.

Mark Johnson, who currently heads the expatriate banking operation in the region, will in addition assume the role of country manager for Gibraltar and provide senior management oversight for local operations across all the banking divisions. Marina Dominguez Steglich will oversee international private banking in Gibraltar, having spent the past five years with the bank as manager, private banking.
